We hear the Good News of Christmas:
The God of all the universe is foolish, and wasted his love on us. There is room at the inn for someone like you and me. God has turned creation toward Bethlehem, to see a lowly manger where Jesus began his life of servant hood and suffering for us. This humble baby comes as the Christ to save everyone from their sin and separation. Today, a sliver of light gets through…and we hear the angels still singing, “Glory to God in the Highest” as our forgiveness is made possible in Jesus, the Messiah.
Prayer of the Day:
Almighty God, you have filled all the earth with the light of your incarnate Word. By your grace empower us to reflect your light in all that we do, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
